As a part of our Best Practice it is encouraged to create a "test project" to test your documents with our new recommended ESEF project settings. In a test project, it is also easy for you to carry out the project and see the impact that changes to your documents might have on the tagging and design.
You need to be an admin and have InDesign-permissions for some of these steps.
- Log in as an Administrator.
- Create a new project.
- Add one or multiple chapters to the project, add users and give the correct permissions.
- Upload the documents and activate ESEF reporting for the project, make sure that the correct ESEF project settings are set.
- Open and save a chapter version in InCopy or InDesign.
- Open the chapter in the Tagger, if you want to roll forward Textblock tags you can click "Load Mapping File" on the top right once the Tagger is open. See instructions on this page on how to download a mapping file (you need to navigate to the specific chapter you want to copy your tags from). To roll forward the tags for your financial statements, please see this page.
You can now carry out different content/layout changes in your document and see how the Tagger handles the new chapter version that is saved and how the tags are being reapplied.
