How to Convert a Document to a Newer Version of InDesign

You can convert an InDesign document with the steps below. (Check that you have the latest Transfer Manager for Windows or Transfer Manager for Mac and our correct plug-ins.)

    1. Add a new chapter.
    2. Open the chapter you wish to convert.
    3. When the document has opened, select "File" then "Save As" and save the file locally. Please close the document afterwards.

    4. Open the document in the desired InDesign version (the newer version).
    5. Once the document is open, click on the "CtrlPrint" menu and from the dropdown, select the Add Document option. This will allow you to add the document to the chapter you previously created.
