If you previously used an earlier version of InDesign 2024 (v.19) on a Mac before upgrading to the 19.4 update you will need to do the following to display the "CtrlPrint" menu in InDesign. The steps below will force the reinstallation of our plug-ins and correct a text file that is used to load them.
- First quit InDesign if it is running.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Transfer Manager. Instructions here.
- Delete our plug-ins. To do this open Transfer Manager (you will need the latest version) by clicking here. Then use the option called "Open Resources Folder" under the "Help" menu:
This will bring you to the "Ctrl" folder, open the folder called "plug-ins". Then delete the files that have version 19 in their name (there are 3 of them):
- Delete a file called "PluginConfig.txt" found in your preferences folder for InDesign. To do this open a Finder window and from under the "Go" menu choose "Go to Folder..." (shortcut Shift + Command + G) and then paste in the following and click Return.
~/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 19.0/
Select the folder that corresponds to the language your version of InDesign is set for. If you are using British English this will be en_GB, if you are using Swedish this will be sv_SE, for example. Within this folder you will find the file called "PluginConfig.txt". Delete this file:

- Start InDesign and make sure the CtrlPrint menu is present.
