Information: Installing CtrlPrint

CtrlPrint is a system that consists of different components. (More information about these components can be found here.) These include:

  • The CtrlPrint web service where users login and access files
  • CtrlPrint Transfer Manager which is used for downloading and uploading files.
  • Adobe InCopy for editing texts or Adobe InDesign for making changes to the layout. Most users will need InCopy, check if you are unsure which you should install. All users will need to use the same version of CC for compatibility. You cannot work with CC2017 and CC2015 on the same documents for example. We no longer support CS versions of InDesign and InCopy.
  • Plugins - these are installed automatically when a file is downloaded from the system. InDesign users can manually install them if needed. (See below.)
  • Fonts - each user will need to have the fonts that are used in the documents installed on their machine.
