Overview of CtrlPrint Message Function
The message function is available on the CtrlPrint home screen and provides an overview of all messages published for the companies to which the user has access. It also contains messages published by CtrlPrint, whether to notify of downtime or to announce changes to support opening hours, etc.
These messages are also available for each individual company on the company page. However, only the messages published for that company are displayed here, whereas on the CtrlPrint home page users can see all messages published for all company folders to which they have access.
The message function has two tabs. The "Unread" tab shows all unread notifications. To mark that a message has been read, click on the checkmarks as shown below.
The "All Messages" tab contains all existing messages that have been published whether unread or read.
How to add a message
In order to publish a message, you need to be an administrator for the company you want the message to be displayed. After logging in as an administrator and navigating to the company page, there will be another button visible that you can now click on called ‘Publish’.
After clicking on ‘Publish’, a separate window will open where you need to give the message a title and type your message. Note that there is a limit of 1000 characters per message.
Once the message has been published, anyone with access to the company can see it. The message also shows who created it, for which company and how long ago it was published.
By hovering over the time, a more detailed information is displayed, indicating both the day, year and exact time of publication.
How to delete a message
In order to delete a message, you need to be the administrator of the company where you want the message to be deleted. Once you have logged in as an administrator and navigated to the company page, click on the pencil icon.
A separate window will open where the button ‘Delete Message’ will be displayed.
After pressing the ‘Delete Message’ button, you will be asked to confirm by pressing the ‘Delete’ button in the new Delete Message window. Note that you will not be able to restore deleted messages.
