How Tag Review works
Whenever you save an ESEF chapter version from the CtrlPrint XBRL tagger, the tagged content is automatically processed to make it readily available for review within Tag Review. This ensures that you can easily access and verify the content of your tags.
As a result, all users who are working in an ESEF-activated project will be able to open Review and meaningfully interpret the contents of each string and text block tag.
How to get started?
If you have ESEF Reporting enabled and an ESEF chapter version available, you're ready to use Tag Review! Tag Review can be accessed from project level by clicking on the Review icon.
It can also be opened from chapter level, by clicking on the Open in Review button.
For users with Document Review enabled, you can seamlessly switch between Document Review and Tag Review using the tabs in the Review toolbar.
Please note that if you only have ESEF Reporting activated, clicking the Open in Review action will take you directly to Tag Review.
If you get the message "The file with XBRL tags for Review could not be found" when hoovering over Tag Review icon you need to open the chapter in the CtrlPrint XBRL Tagger and save a new version to the server.
What can users do in Tag Review?
Tag Review provides an efficient way to proofread the contents of your text block and string tags, ensuring they are accurately represented in the machine-readable iXBRL output. Simply select any non-numeric tag in the chapter to review its tagged content, ensuring complete coverage and correct reading order.
For text block tags with the escape attribute correctly set to "true", Tag Review allows you to verify that the content, including tables, is rendered as expected in the report. This helps you to ensure that your tables are accurately represented and maintain their structure and meaning in the tagged output.
The left panel allows you to navigate between tags and search them by their technical name. The right panel displays the selected tag properties.
