To prepare an ESEF Report:
Each chapter needs to be saved once from InDesign/InCopy after the ESEF function is activated.
You can merge files by using the Create ESEF Report above the chapter list. (After selecting a project.)
In the Status column you will see the status of each chapter:
Status | Meaning |
---|---|
Not tagged | This chapter has not been tagged. To include it in the exported report you must select at least one tagged chapter. |
Settings updated | New settings have not been applied to the latest ESEF version of this chapter. A user needs to open the chapter in the Tagger and choose "Save to Server" to apply the latest settings to the chapter. |
Not up-to-date |
The tags have not been applied to the latest version of this chapter. To ensure that the latest changes are included, open the chapter with the Tagger and save it back to the server. |
Unavailable |
This chapter cannot be merged because no ESEF document has been created for it. Before you can include this chapter an InDesign or Incopy user needs to upload a new chapter version to the server. |
If the chapter is Tagged and up-to-date the status column will show a tick according to the image below:
Select which chapters you would like to include in the ESEF report and click Create.
Please be aware that merging multiple chapters can take several minutes.
