Working with comments
To the right of the document you will see a list with all comments. You can switch between different filters depending on what type of comments you want to see.
Use the filter to sort by Authors, Creation date, Last updated and Page number.
You can also filter the comments on Status. There are four different statuses for comments:
New, In Progress, Done and Rejected. When a new comment is created it will have New as its status.
Any user can then change the status of a comment if it is still open for discussion (In Progress), has been dealt with (Done), or has been rejected (Rejected).
If you wish to add a reply to a comment, select the comment, write your reply and click the "Reply" button. A timestamp will show when comments and replies were made in the comment list. You can also edit a comment or reply which you have made. Select the context menu, click "Edit reply", make your changes and click the "Save" button.
Comments in different versions
If a comment was created in an earlier version of the chapter an icon next to the status dropdown will appear, additionally there is also an option in the context menu. If the comment was made in the version of the chapter you are currently on the option to view in version is not there.
-
Click the "View in version" button or select "View in version" from the comment's context menu.
-
The version where the comment was created will be loaded in a new browser window.
-
This window is read-only, which means you can't make changes to the comments in it, to make modifications or new comments please use the latest version that you already have open in Review.
-
If you click to view another comment in its original version the read-only window will reload to that chapter version.
Please Note: The read-only window will display all comments made up to and including the version currently loaded in it, but not comments made after that version. Always refer to the latest version of the chapter to view all available comments for a chapter.
