Installing Adobe InDesign 2023 (v 18)

Please note that we recommend using 2023 (v18) for the upcoming season (updated October 2023). We also recommend that you do not uninstall older versions of InDesign. To avoid overwriting the older versions, you can disable the "Auto-Update" feature in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop. More information on this can be found here.

To be able to use 2023 you'll need to update your Transfer Manager to 1.6.2,
see this page on how to do that.

Step 1: Adobe Creative Cloud

To install Adobe InDesign 2023 (v 18) you must have a Creative Cloud account with a paid subscription for InDesign and the "Creative Cloud Desktop App". Your Creative Cloud account will be managed by someone in your organisation. If you are not sure about your login credentials for Adobe Creative Cloud, please contact your IT department. The "Creative Cloud Desktop App" can be downloaded here.

Step 2: CtrlPrint Transfer Manager

IMPORTANT: Make sure your version of Transfer Manager is up to date.

Step 3: Downloading InDesign 2023

1. Once the Creative Cloud Desktop App is open locate InDesign in the All apps section.
Click on the three dots to the far right of the listing for InDesign and then click other versions:

3. Make sure that you untick "Remove old versions" before clicking Continue

4. InDesign 2023 (v.18) will now install.
